Working as a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for various solutions by engineering modernization and development projects for Motion Service Medium Voltage Drives. Working in Turgi, you will provide technical details, costs, and deliverables for our customers operating their plants across the globe. Reporting to the Head of Modernization, you will independently engineer mechanical solutions and make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables. On time, within budget, and in line with our quality and safety guidelines outputs is for you a matter of course.

Your responsibilities


  • Working together with Mechanical and Electrical engineers to deliver sound mechanical solutions for technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors

  • Creating all necessary design and documentation to produce and install Medium Voltage Drives Control Upgrades

  • Creating and delivering work plan and budget estimations, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline

  • Participating and giving feedback to product management ensuring a continuous improvement and innovation on the products

  • Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and engagement at all stages of the project

Your background


  • 1 to 2 years of experience in mechanical design, working as mechanical engineer

  • Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including Solid Edge and SAP

  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines

  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies

  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills

  • A bachelor’s degree or technician degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field

  • English and German language skills required
