Description

As the Project Engineer, you will lead the implementation of facility management strategies, oversee project delivery, and drive sustainability and reliability initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Director Facilities & Engineering, you will ensure compliance with global engineering standards, manage project execution, and support site clients in aligning with GWES priorities.

Project Management:

  • Lead the implementation of the global engineering standards and programs at the site, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and safety standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact for site stakeholders regarding engineering standards and coordinate with Quality and Safety Standards teams.
  • Manage project execution, including financial control, safety oversight, and partnering with IFM providers for project delivery.
  • Oversee project management processes, including project portfolio management, progress tracking

Reliability Engineering:

  • Oversee a Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) program, utilizing reliability tools to determine asset condition, criticality, and replacement priority.
  • Partner with IFM providers and Energy and Maintenance Excellence leads to develop improvement initiatives for equipment maintenance and energy management.
  • Lead workshops and innovation events to drive improvement initiatives in preventive maintenance, energy efficiency, and defect elimination.

Sustainability:

  • Lead sustainability initiatives, including the Global Energy Network for Improvement in Usage & Supply program.
  • Develop and maintain a transition plan to achieve net-0 carbon emissions for the site.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive energy efficiency initiatives and support the execution of Company ESG goals.

Compliance:

  • Represent GWES for engineering compliance programs and build a culture of safety, quality, and engineering standards compliance.
  • Manage construction site safety for GWES project activities and support compliance audit programs.

Profile

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 8 years of experience in project management, reliability engineering, or sustainability initiatives within a similar industry.
  • Experience in financial management, compliance, and safety management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Certifications in project management, reliability engineering, or sustainability (e.g., PMP, CMRP, LEED) are a plus.
