Job description and responsibilities

As a Motion Designer, you will:


  • Collaborate with the Communications team and other stakeholders to understand video project requirements and specifications (Explainer videos);

  • Creating visually stunning motion graphics and animations for various digital media platforms

  • Utilizing video software, such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Cinema 4D, to design and execute captivating motion graphic projects

  • Incorporating typography, visual effects, and sound design to enhance the overall impact and engagement of motion graphic content

  • Use specialized software applications and video editing tools to merge content from multiple sources and add pictures, graphics, visual effects, voice, sound effects, and subtitles, to edit videos to targeted length and specifications (adjusts formats and file sizes as needed);

  • Handle and organise raw and edited video files;

  • Create Explainer videos that educate our audience about important issues about cybersecurity. That might mean breaking down a scenario story, and create elements (e.g., icons, animation types) that can be reutilised:

    • Formats of Videos: Vertical videos (~3 to 5 minutes) in .mp4 format, accompanied with subtitle files .srt. Videos will include also “clickable” areas (overlayed rectangles including icons).


  • Create informative videos for social media to promote SPHYNX’s activities.

Required education, experience, and skills

For this post, you will need to have/demonstrate:


  • Minimum 1 year of video editing and post-production experience;

  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio;

  • You have prior experience as a Motion Graphics Designer as well as a strong portfolio of sample projects

  • Proficient in various non-linear video editing tools and other software (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects etc);

  • Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles;

  • Experience in creating animations;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film or related field;

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
