Our client:

A single-family office in Zug, Switzerland. The investment team consists of five senior professionals and four external advisors. 

Unique opportunity at a Family Office:

  • Impact on the investment performance 
  • Work directly with the Family Principal and the senior investment team


  • Together with the investment and advisors, develop an overarching PE/VC investment strategy and plan, incorporating the existing impact investment strategy
  • Perform market research and analysis, actively monitoring and exploring investment opportunities across various themes and geographies relevant for the family office strategy
  • Build and maintain networks in appropriate ecosystems (Impact, PE, VC)
  • Source and screen relevant private equity, venture capital and impact investment opportunities
  • Conduct market, business and financial due diligence of investment opportunities
  • Create and analyze financial models
  • Manage the overall investment process, negotiating structures and terms with deal teams
  • Interview management teams and maintain relationships with intermediaries
  • Review and assess offering and subscription documents of investment proposals
  • Maintain the investment database of all investment related documents, and continuously manage the pipeline and interactions with companies
  • Prepare investment reviews, evaluation and recommendations in collaboration with the team and/or external advisors 
  • Monitor and report on investments to the team, and prepare client reports

Your Background

Knowledge & experience:

  • University degree in finance, economics, or a related subject. [MBA a plus]
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant research and analytical experience
  • A broad knowledge of investment management processes for private equity and[/or] venture capital
  • A deep understanding of the venture capital and private equity industries, including experience in the non-public equity and debt investment process, including modelling, financial analysis, deal structuring and legal documentation
  • A basic knowledge of and interest for impact and sustainable investing
  • Strong research skills, ability to find information and data from a wide range of sources, filter it by several relevant categories, and form an independent view
  • Excellent financial, quantitative, analytical, and valuation skills, with relevant experience constructing and deconstructing investment cases
  • A strong understanding of business models and company financial reporting

  • A self-starter, able to work well independently and to build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level team members
