- Analyze requirements and derive technical specifications for mechanical components
- Create 3D models in CAD (parts/assemblies) and derive technical drawings
- Support in the conception of new assemblies
- Build functional models and prototypes of medical devices or aspects thereof
- Operate the 3D printer including coordination with other teams
- Contribute innovative ideas to solve technical issues
- Create and maintain (product) articles, article masters, and bills of materials in the PLM system
- Support in change management
- Close collaboration within the project team and, if necessary, with other internal and external parties, e.g., suppliers, testing laboratories, etc.
What sets you apart
- Completed training as a designer
- Confident handling of CAD and PLM systems, ideally SolidWorks and Siemens Teamcenter
- Knowledge in the construction and design of more complex assemblies
- Manual skills (building functional models/prototypes)
- Experience operating 3D printers is an advantage
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes
- Independent working style combined with a high quality mindset
