The Opportunity
We aim to further shape and advance the way diabetes is treated by leveraging our integrated Personalised Diabetes Management approach (iPDM) - a holistic, patient-centric concept to diabetes management that includes connected devices, services, and digital solutions in an open ecosystem which will contribute to limiting the progression of the disease, and improving outcomes, thus, eventually promoting healthcare system sustainability. In order to do so, we are continuously refining our internal structures and processes to best serve evolving customer and market demand in a seamless and agile way. This enables us to deliver on our commitment to augment access to the most innovative iPDM solutions tailored to the needs of people with diabetes, their caregivers, and healthcare systems - today and in the future.
As Evidence Generation & Modelling Manager, you will play a key role in enabling market access for the assigned integrated portfolio over the full product lifecycle by developing evidence and health economic models that demonstrate robust and compelling economic and value arguments resonating with payers and supporting an optimal price. You will thereby contribute to the overall Diabetes Care Vision at Roche.
Job Facts
This position is newly created to ensure a profound and impactful approach to payer evidence and health economic modeling. It is part of the Global Market Access, Policy and Evidence Generation Department and reports into the Head of Global Market Access.
Your key responsibilities:
Within this role, your responsibilities will fall into these main areas:
Payer Evidence Strategy

You develop a sound understanding of target claims relevant for market access and their payer-relevant substantiation including health care resources utilization data, patient reported outcomes, quality of life, and real world evidence

You ensure integration of the payer perspective into RDC evidence plans and studies based on affiliate payer insights and payer landscape assessments (SLRs etc.)

You execute payer relevant evidence programs with the quality of collection and statistical analysis expected by payers (PICO, MCID etc.) including identification, collection, synthesis and analysis of real-world datasets, and designing and executing real world pilot studies in partnership with affiliates and their payers and the impactful publication of the results.
Health Economic Modeling

You build models strategically and early to help identify evidence development opportunities and priorities in order to support convincing payer value messages.

You quantify the value of RDC product solutions by employing tailor-made best practice burden of illness, cost-effectiveness analysis and budget impact models and methods acceptable to targeted payer segments.
Collaboration

You collaborate with internal (HQ and Affiliate) and external stakeholders (payers, academics, KOLs) to ensure relevance of model and evidence solutions and their publication.

You are a key contributor to market access strategy building on best practice / payer-relevant models and evidence generation planning.

You act as a guardian for high standards of compliance, ethics and safety; putting patients at the center of all actions by consistent business behavior that complies with applicable laws, industry codes and Roche’s Code of Conduct.

You promote cross-functional understanding of payer value demonstration, and affiliate uptake/ utilization of best practices in modelling, evidence generation and evidence presentation.

You effectively translate technical information for non-technical audiences to enhance knowledge dissemination and uptake.

Professional and Technical Requirements

A minimum of 5 yrs relevant experience in medtec, pharma or equivalent (relevant payer/HTA)

Master degree in relevant discipline, e.g. health economics or biostatistics
-
Knowledge / skills to apply new health economic methods to novel situations (e.g., product combinations and digital solutions)

Experience conducting systematic literature reviews (SLRs), and real world evidence studies
-
Technical training in statistical analysis methods and planning tools
-
Publication experience
-
Clinical trial competency is a plus
-
Experience with new ways of working (e.g. Agile) and process management tools (e.g. Lean Management).

Location: This position is available agnostic of a specific location. It is encouraged that this position is located with a Roche Diabetes Care office, such as Indianapolis, San Cugat, Mannheim, Basel, Vienna understanding that this is a global role spanning all time zones and geographies.
