Staff Management Finance & HR 80 - 100%The Cantonal Laboratory Zurich is responsible for monitoring compliance with laws on food, chemicals, tobacco products, and solariums in the canton of Zurich. We test food and consumer goods in our laboratory and inspect businesses. To fulfill this important task in the service of the public, we have a quality assurance system according to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard for testing laboratories (laboratory area) and ISO/IEC 17020 for inspection bodies (inspection area).
For the establishment of our newly created staff department, we are looking for a committed and qualified personality by agreement.
Your main tasks
- Management of the staff department Finance & HR with two directly subordinate persons
- Responsibility for financial and investment planning including the preparation of interim reports, annual accounts, and budgets (KEF)
- Operational work in the areas of finance and HR
- Further development of cost and performance accounting as well as the development of innovative concepts to optimize financial management
- Ensuring compliance within the office and continuous improvement of relevant processes
- Management and professional support of projects in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
- Analysis and processing of statistics as a basis for strategic decisions
Your profile
- Completed university degree in business administration, accounting & finance, or a comparable field
- Further training in the HR area is an advantage
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar function, preferably in an administration, authority, or other comparable organization
- Proven experience in strategic financial and investment planning
- Very good conceptual and analytical skills as well as enjoyment of complex issues
- Solid IT skills, especially in the use of SAP-FI/CO or comparable tools
- Excellent German language skills in spoken and written form; additional language skills are an advantage
- Independent, careful, and solution-oriented working style combined with high teamwork skills
- Ability to act thoughtfully, efficiently, and goal-oriented even in dynamic situations
