IT Specialist (m/f/d) for Support and Customer-Specific Customization of Labeling Software
The Bluhm Weber Group is an expert in the field of industrial product labeling. As a market-leading full-service provider, we advise and supply manufacturers from all industries who want to label their products, packaging, and pallets safely and reliably.
As a successful family business in its second generation, we offer long-term and attractive prospects. We place great value on our employees and a positive working environment.
For our software development team, we are looking for a practical IT specialist (m/f/d) (application development or system integration) at our company location in Rheinbreitbach (near Cologne, Bonn, Siegburg, Sankt Augustin, Hennef, Koblenz) who will support our labeling software environment and implement customer-specific customizations.
A university degree is not required – relevant practical experience, technical curiosity, and clean implementation are decisive. As a new team member, you will experience hands-on work with direct impact on production/logistics level. The advertised position offers a combination of low-code configuration (Application Builder), integration, and operation, providing plenty of room for ideas around automation and process optimization.
These are your tasks
- You are responsible for the operation, administration, and further development of our software solutions (e.g., NiceLabel, Cloud, Automation)
- You implement customer-specific requirements: label layouts, business rules, data entry masks with the Loftware Application Builder
- Connecting and integrating with existing systems/data sources (e.g., MS SQL, ERP/MES, files, web services) is also part of your tasks
- You are responsible for setting up and optimizing printing processes including printer/driver management in Windows environments
- Your responsibilities also include error analysis, 2nd-level support, performance tuning, and continuous process improvement
- You create documentation and conduct handovers and training for users
We expect from you
- Completed training as an IT specialist (application development or system integration) or comparable practical experience
- You have a confident handling of Windows servers/services as well as printers and printer drivers
- You can demonstrate good SQL knowledge (preferably Microsoft SQL Server) for data connection and queries
- You bring basic knowledge in scripting/programming, e.g., script and/or Python, to perform automations and simple integrations
- You have a high willingness for quick familiarization
- A structured and precise way of working is natural for you
- You have very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
- An independent but also team-oriented working style is your strength
- You enjoy coordinating with teams from the specialist departments as well as our customers
- Experience with ERP/MES integration (e.g., via API, files, database views) is an advantage
- If you have knowledge in RFID, label printers, and driver details, this is also beneficial
- Basic knowledge of IT security (e.g., service accounts, rights concepts, audit and change processes) is also advantageous
- Understanding of barcode/labeling processes and quality/compliance aspects is also desirable
- Ideally, you can demonstrate experience with Loftware (NiceLabel/Cloud/Automation).
What we offer you
- Flexible working hours & home office
- Quarterly bonuses and monthly profit sharing (equivalent to a 13th salary)
- Tax-free benefit card for fueling and shopping (12 x credit top-up)
- 30 days annual leave & holiday pay
- Offers for bike leasing
- Company pension scheme & savings package
