What I like best is the team spirit, we interact openly with each other and there is also the occasional joke. In summer, we grill once a month right in front of the hall and eat lunch together.Working at Marobag AGWhy Marobag? We invite you to take a look behind the facade! You will see that…* know-how and team spirit are fully up to date,* Marobag stands for competence, experience, and handshake quality,* we, as a typical Swiss SME, focus on the essentials, e.g., the machinery,* we manage cautiously – which gives us reserves and security for tougher times,What else?Marobag is big enough to offer the advantages of an industrial joinery and small enough to still be family-like.Our claim is to continuously improve the working environment together so that people enjoy working well for Marobag. And our goal is very clear: to grow as a family business – step by step. We invite you: Let’s take this path together!Fact CheckWhat do the employees say? What pleases and motivates us: 95% of employees in a survey from June 2022 are very or rather satisfied with their workplace.Although it is a large company, I am not left alone – whether I have questions at work or private problems. Marobag is a very loyal employer.Sometimes it takes a push to get something changed, but when it counts, it works.I appreciate the reliability as an employer. I have a secure job and a secure salary. The company has accommodated my working hours, which fits perfectly for me with family and avoiding traffic jams now.We are somewhat a wild bunch, we can also work quite independently and I really appreciate that. The company has a good reputation in the market, which makes you proud and also gives security. There is enough work – but we need more good people!Fields of work – examplesAfter having already worked as a bench joiner and CNC machinist at Marobag, I am now a CNC programmer, the link between production planning and manufacturing. It’s not just about programming; you are constantly finding new, better solutions – for example, with fittings. And you definitely need good imagination. Machines, i.e., the technical, mechanical, have always fascinated me. I was also involved in acquiring our latest masterpiece from Biesse, which is truly a unique CNC machine, so many possibilities and yet so compact. I look forward to working on it! Mike, CNC ProgrammerI have been working in production planning for about 15 years. We receive the project data from sales and then create the execution plans. I have direct contact with site managers and architects, sometimes also with general contractors. Some of these are very long-standing partnerships! For novel and complex projects, we also exchange internally with manufacturing and assembly to find the optimal solution. My specialty is doors; as a layperson, you can’t imagine how complex it can get. With my work, I lay the foundation for how the project continues: with measurements, detailed drawings, and ongoing work supervision, I have great responsibility. This mix of, let’s say, precision and sociability is exactly my thing! Christoph, Production Planning Project ManagerAfter various stations in Germany and Switzerland, we are now also dyed-in-the-wool Marobag people! We work as bench joiners in an industrial company, you have to be clear about that and like it. We like that we can work cleanly and with high quality standards and at the same time quite independently. In addition, Marobag has a broad spectrum: besides the original products curtain boards and window sills, we also manufacture doors and cabinets, stair railings, cellar compartment fittings, balcony storage rooms, and so on. We have already experienced various joineries: Marobag stands for security and stability. And above all: it’s a great team, really close-knit. People help each other, and there’s also the occasional cheeky joke! Michael and Syrco, Bench JoinersThe first thing that comes to mind about my job is that I am my own boss. Of course, I get a new construction site and a timeframe from our assembly manager and then drive there with my assembly vehicle to install curtain boards, cabinets, or whatever. My vehicle has been set up exactly for me by our workshop. Mostly, I install a larger series in a residential development or in schools, hospitals, or office buildings. How I do it, I have great flexibility – also in terms of time. Of course, it is physically demanding, but once you are trained, you can make good progress with piecework and earn well above the base salary. And I have some colleagues who have been Marobag assemblers for ten, some even 30 years! Daniel, AssemblerSelling at Marobag is not just about answering tenders. It is important to network well in the industry and always stay up to date; innovative solutions are always needed. The product range is also quite broad, and regarding quality and efficiency, we have a very good reputation in the Swiss market. When we exchange ideas as a team, it is exciting how differently we function as individuals and how different our approaches to solutions are – this is a great mutual enrichment! The company is also manageable enough that we can work together across departments and help out elsewhere sometimes. But you should definitely be a team player who constructively looks for a way in challenges.
