Job Description
- Development and optimization of molecular biological analysis methods (e.g. PCR, qPCR, dPCR, NGS) for quality control of pharmaceutical products
- Planning, implementation and evaluation of complex molecular biological analyses in a GMP-regulated environment
- Validation and verification of new methods according to regulatory requirements (GMP, GxP, ICH guidelines)
- Transfer of the developed methods into routine operation in cooperation with the laboratory team
- Creation and maintenance of SOPs, validation documentation and reports
- Support in problem analysis and troubleshooting in everyday laboratory work
- Active participation in interdisciplinary projects to expand the range of analyses
- Observation and evaluation of new technologies and trends in the field of molecular biological analysis
- Training and technical guidance of laboratory personnel
Requirements
- Degree in natural sciences (biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or comparable)
- Several years of professional experience in pharmaceutical quality control or analytical development desirable
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in molecular biology methods, in particular PCR/qPCR, digital PCR and sequencing technologies
- Experience in the development and optimization of molecular biological assays
- Knowledge of method validation and quality assurance according to pharmaceutical standards
- BL2 laboratory experience is desirable
- Analytical and solution-oriented thinking skills
- High degree of independence and initiative
- Structured and careful way of working
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, required. Good German speaking and writing is desirable
