Head of Medical Emergency Call 144

In the canton of Thurgau, all residents should feel safe. This is ensured by over 500 employees of the Thurgau Cantonal Police around the clock with a modern organization and in close contact with the population.

The employees of the medical emergency call 144, part of the Cantonal Emergency Call Center in Frauenfeld, take care of incoming medical emergency calls in shifts. They support and instruct those seeking help. They coordinate the rescue organizations and know: every minute and their professionalism count.

Our team is looking for you, a committed personality, from February 1, 2026 or by arrangement, as

• Professional, personnel, and organizational management of the medical emergency call 144 (24/7 operation)
• Ensuring the quality of emergency call processing 144 and dispatch according to applicable standards (especially IVR guidelines)
• Coordination and cooperation with partner organizations (rescue services, police, fire department, etc.)
• Representation of the medical emergency call 144 in internal and external committees and working groups
• Leadership and participation in internal and overarching projects
• Processing of statements and inquiries
• Providing shift and on-call service as emergency call 144 operations manager when needed

• Completed training in rescue or healthcare, preferably certified paramedic HF
• Further education in leadership, management, or organizational development (e.g., CAS, HF, NDS)
• Several years of experience in a management position, preferably in emergency call or rescue service environment
• Confident, precise, and effective oral and written communication
• Decisiveness and high resilience even in demanding situations

• Responsible, versatile, and meaningful activity with a lot of creative freedom
• A strong team committed together to the people of the canton of Thurgau
