About the job

We are looking for a committed and friendly addition to our small, warm reception team at Hotel Merkur, centrally located in Interlaken.

Our charming bed and breakfast hotel offers 36 rooms with breakfast and welcomes guests from all over the world. Excellent service and personal care are our top priorities – we aim for a 5-star service at the reception and are proud of our excellent reviews.

• Warm welcome and care of our international guests
• Check-in and check-out
• Processing reservations and guest correspondence
• Responsibility for the smooth operation of the hotel during your shift
• Contact person for guest concerns and organizational decisions

• Experience in the hotel industry or at the reception is an advantage
• Very good German and English skills (applications without these language skills unfortunately cannot be considered)
• Any additional language is a plus
• Service-oriented, friendly, and independent working style
• Good knowledge of the region or willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with the surroundings
• Willingness to work flexible hours (our reception is staffed from 06:20 – 22:00)
