The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partner institution, funded by the Canton and the municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, sociocultural and associative field actions carried out by centres and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with a general aim of preventing social exclusion.

A position of social secretary at 55% is open within the TSHM Chêne & Co action.

Job Description

• Set up administrative support in close collaboration with the team
• Ensure various administrative tasks: drafting letters, notes, minutes, statistics and deadlines
• Maintain the filing and archiving system
• Use and master external communication tools: designing flyers, updating the website, formatting reports and activity reports
• Manage stock and purchases related to the office supplies (stationery, cartridges, pens…)
• Assist the team in various administrative tasks, notably in connection with the FASe general secretariat concerning small jobs.

Qualifications

• Hold a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification with at least 3 years of confirmed professional experience
• Strong interest and sensitivity for social work, especially for youth
• Good interpersonal skills and a keen sense of teamwork
• Excellent writing skills recognised in taking and drafting minutes
• Ability to prepare budgets, quotes and maintain simplified accounting
• Required mastery of common IT tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher
• Mastery of Photoshop, InDesign and WordPress would be an additional asset
• Sense of responsibility, organisational skills, planning, adaptability, autonomy and initiative
• Knowledge of the Geneva social system, the functioning of FASe and municipal administrations.

Additional Information

• Available primarily on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
• Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 11
• Start date: to be agreed
