Attached to the Department of Psychiatry at HUG, the Institutional Measures Service is responsible for the treatment of patients under judicial mandate. Comprising several care units integrating treatment in a closed environment (Curabilis), treatment in an open environment (Iris and Onyx units at the Belle-idée site) and outpatient treatment (arts. 59-64 Swiss Penal Code), its offer of crisis and specific psychiatric rehabilitation care is provided in compliance with medical law and professional ethical rules.
Job Description
As head of clinic, with or without a specialty title, you ensure the psychiatric follow-up of patients/detainees within the service (closed or open environment).
You work in a demanding clinical setting, at the intersection of care, justice and security issues, in close collaboration with experienced multidisciplinary teams.
Your approach is based on an individualised therapeutic method aimed at stabilising mental disorders, re-educating symptoms and preventing relapse. You contribute to comprehensive care, respectful of the dignity of individuals and the ethical principles specific to psychiatry in a context of constraint. In this respect, you work in a coordinated manner with professionals with complementary skills, such as nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, psychomotor therapists.
Alongside your activity, you have the opportunity to complete, if not already done, your integrated postgraduate training contributing to obtaining the specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy.
Qualifications
You hold the federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
If you already hold your specialist title, you possess the cantonal practice licence or are able to obtain it before starting your position.
For non-French speakers, C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
Experience in the field of deprived liberty persons is an asset and you already have some experience in psychiatry.
As part of your appointment, a police check will be carried out for your assignment in a closed environment.
