We are looking for an energetic and positive IT professional to join our Stadler Global Collaboration Now team as a SharePoint Developer. The candidate will take part in developing and customizing solutions built on SharePoint using Client-Side Scripting stack. He / She will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions, migrating both content and existing legacy solutions as required, doing the design and development of SharePoint using jQuery, JavaScript, Services and REST API including major and minor Web applications for client implementations. The senior solution architect and engineer will design, test, and deliver SharePoint online solutions, design and create sites, site collections, templates, web parts, content types and policies, libraries, etc.

This role will drive the design, development, maintenance, and administration of Company's Collaboration as a Service environment using both programming and project management skillsets. The ideal candidate is an experienced SharePoint professional with a collaborative mindset and a high level of attention to detail. This role is NOT a good fit for a LONE WOLF who prefers to work alone but is perfect for a TEAM PLAYER with strong communication and collaboration skills.

To ensure success as a SharePoint developer, you should have extensive knowledge of SharePoint and MS Office software, proficiency with front-end programming languages, and the ability to solve complex software issues. Ultimately, a top-class SharePoint developer can create clean, scalable SharePoint websites that meet all company design and functionality requirements.

Your tasks

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions with out-of-the-box SharePoint functionality, including creating sites, subsites, pages, lists, and libraries, managing data and metadata with custom content types, site columns, and document sets, and configuring web-parts, page layouts, and custom views.
  • Implement and maintain site permissions structure, site navigation structure including term-store management, and Document Management system.
  • Design, develop and maintain SharePoint themes, templates, master pages, and page layouts to customize and brand the SharePoint look and feel using UI/UX practices.
  • Establish a UI design framework with wireframes, user journeys, mock-ups, or clickable prototypes.
  • Work with the SharePoint development team to design a front end that functions across various browsers, platforms, and devices while meeting accessibility and security requirements.
  • Develop sites that incorporate responsive, user- centric web designs.
  • Adhere to established methodologies while analysing processes for improved performance and adaptability.
  • Oversee and guide Business Analysts and clients to gather and refine requirements, including analysing unstructured requirements and translating them into tangible process flows, technical deliverables, or reports.
  • Extensive knowledge SharePoint object model and out of the box web parts and their functionality
  • Researches, designs, develops and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
  • Design and implement SharePoint solutions that focus on the user experience and partnering with stakeholders across Wholesale Payments.
  • Elevate the continued expansion of sites-collections through and evolving partnership with content owners and senior leaders, ensuring a consistent, reliable and streamlined user experience.
  • Propose, execute, and scale new ways of creating sites and pages that expands business, product, services awareness and adoption globally.
  • Track and report effectiveness metrics to internal stakeholders, as well as continually monitor, analyse and adjust to maximize audience engagement.
  • Proactively maintain feedback loop with end users to drive continual enhancements that optimize site effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoots problems and provides customer support for software operating systems and application issues.
  • Ability to understand business objectives and translate into SharePoint functionality/requirements
  • Verbal and written communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business, and technical document writing (English with German as a nice to have).
  • Awareness of the end to end Solution Lifecycle Development process
  • Extending SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies.

Your profile

  • 5+ years SharePoint client-side development experience
  • Experience in working with a wide range of client-facing stakeholders
  • Ability to configure Simple applications using out of the box SharePoint functionality
  • Awareness of the end to end Solution Lifecycle Development process
  • Should have experience working with SharePoint Online, 2013 and 2019.
  • Solid understanding of all SharePoint features "out of the box" – how to use and customize "in browser" as well as from tools such as SharePoint Designer.
  • Understanding of SharePoint feature/solution model to create and deploy customizations such as web parts, list event receivers, content types, list schemas, site page templates, application pages, publishing pages, etc.
  • Experience in programming with the SharePoint object model.
  • Understanding of site branding including the development of site definitions.
  • Good understanding of Application lifecycle management, release management, and following industry coding best practices
  • Extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services.
  • Ability to project manage.
  • Detail orientated and most of all Self-motivated.
