Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defence of the interests of the child.
Serving families in the canton, it operates through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfil its mission, the institution manages 47 facilities across the Canton of Geneva. It has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers educational outreach services at home. The FOJ currently employs 670 staff dedicated to serving young people and their families.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a reception assistant for its Meeting Point area.
The Meeting Point is a space dedicated to parents benefiting from a visitation order to allow the child to meet them, beyond the difficulties related to their separation.
Job Description
- Ensure presence at the entrance of the Meeting Point during opening hours on visitation days (Wednesdays-Saturdays-Sundays)
- Guarantee a welcome to each family (parent and child) according to the schedule, have them wait and direct them to the designated areas for the visit.
Activity rate: 15 to 35%, to be agreed
Contract type: Permanent contract
Start date: 1st September 2026
Application deadline: 21st June 2026
Grade: 6 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva
Qualifications
- University student currently training in the field of Social Sciences or Education (Psychology, Sociology, Education Sciences, etc.)
- Ease of contact with families
- Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly
- Autonomy, team spirit and initiative.
Additional Information
Must be Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
