• Co-responsible for the operation of virtual environments and networks
• Continuous improvement of the network infrastructure as well as ensuring network security
• Implementing, migrating, and operating IT systems
• Developing scripts for software applications, components, or modules as well as interfaces
• Analyzing malfunctions and error conditions and initiating appropriate measures to resolve them
• Defining escalation procedures
• Maintaining system technical documentation

• Professional training or higher education in computer science or career changer with further training in computer science
• Several years of experience as a system engineer
• In-depth knowledge of network virtualization with VMware NSX as well as experience in cybersecurity solutions and firewalls such as Checkpoint and Fortinet
• Skills in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, PHP, or Python
• Strong problem-solving skills and an independent, proactive working style
• Very good German skills; English skills (Level B2) are an advantage
• Military career as a senior non-commissioned officer or officer is an advantage
