- Excellent German language skills (minimum B2 level).

The Institute of Tissue Medicine and Pathology at the University of Bern fulfills an important role in diagnostic services for clinics and hospitals throughout the canton of Bern. We employ around 220 staff in diagnostics, research, and teaching.
To support our medical team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a
Senior Physician in Clinical Pathology 80-100%.
• Independent diagnostic activity in histo- and/or cytopathology
• Active participation in interdisciplinary case discussions and tumor boards
• Supervision and training of assistant physicians
• Opportunity for active participation/involvement in research projects
• Specialist title in pathology (FMH or equivalent recognition by MEBEKO)
• Understanding of pathology as a clinical discipline as well as solid knowledge in general and special pathology; subspecialization in a pathology field is an advantage.
• Experience in clinical-pathological collaboration and interest in interdisciplinary exchange
• Independent, responsible, and team-oriented personality
• Habilitation or equivalent training
• Professional leadership experience, administrative leadership experience is an advantage
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form (at least level B2)
