We are looking for an experienced professional with strategic and operational skills to help us leverage SHL Medical ESG strategy to best-in-class and to drive further systematic change across the organization.
This role reports to the Global Head of Sustainability. This is a unique opportunity to shape SHL Medical Sustainability & ESG strategy and work with senior leaders across the organization to drive impact. Join our dynamic Global Sustainability team!
Main Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of the EH&S vision, strategy and associated roadmaps to support company goals globally;
- Development, planning, and implementation of environmental health and safety policies and procedures across organization aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 140001 and industrial best practices;
- Development of Sustainability & EHS statement for the integration of Environment, Health, Safety, Sustainability and Legal Compliance matters within SHL Capital Investments;
- Act as subject expert matter for CaPex projects. Provide projects support in terms of EHS & Sustainability expertise during whole project lifecycle e.g., elaboration and/or critical review of EHS and Sustainability statements, EHS coordination, assess EHS competences and capabilities of service contractors, etc.;
- Ensure performance of the EHS inspections and validations according to standards and relevant regulations;
- Provide process safety expertise across the organization; and create and maintain a robust risk assessment at local and global levels and ensure that appropriate mitigation plans are in place, prioritized and executed against.
Skills and Qualification
- BSc in occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or similar;
- Candidates with a Master’s degree specialized in Occupational Health and Safety or Professional Certifications are preferred;
- Requires minimum of 10 years of relevant EH&S experience;
- Demonstrated experience in contribution in medium to large CaPEx investments required;
- Demonstrated experience in process safety, mechanical and electrical safety highly desirable;
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to find solutions;
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and collaboration skills;
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Fluent in English, required;
- Ability to travel approximately 35%.
