Supplier Quality Engineer 100% (m/f/d)
We are looking immediately or by arrangement for a "Supplier Quality Engineer" who will take responsibility for quality assurance and development of our suppliers in this exciting role.
Committed to sustainability, we shape electromobility with innovative drives, charging devices, and mobility concepts. The Designwerk team, consisting of around 200 employees, successfully brings sustainable commercial vehicles and own products to the road.
Your Area of Responsibility
- Ensure that all delivered materials and components meet applicable safety requirements, standards, and legal regulations (e.g., REACH, RoHS, product safety)
- Conduct and evaluate supplier audits (e.g., VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, IATF 16949) as well as initial sampling according to PPAP/PPF
- Analyze quality problems at suppliers, request 8D reports, and define sustainable corrective actions
- Define, implement, and track quality objectives and KPIs for supplier evaluation
- Support the selection, supervision, and development of suppliers within the framework of series launches (APQP process) as well as in performance-critical issues
- Close cooperation with internal departments (production, development, purchasing, logistics) and active participation in escalation management
- Contribute to the reduction of quality-related costs and support cost-relevant decisions
- Train, coach, and accompany suppliers to meet quality requirements
Your Advantages
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, quality assurance, production technology, or comparable education
- Solid knowledge in quality management and experience with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3)
- Confident handling of MS Office, SAP (QM module advantageous), and common CAQ systems
- Very good German and English skills combined with intercultural competence and willingness to travel
- Analytical, structured, and assertive personality with high social and communication skills
