As Group Controller, you are responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of the group management accounts and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Swiss GAAP FER. You will oversee global accounting processes and support the international finance team.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual group closings, consolidations, and reporting processes in close cooperation with the regional CFOs.
- Prepare group management accounts and financial statements in accordance with internal policies and standards, including liaising with the group auditors as required.
- Develop, maintain, and update the group’s accounting policies, procedures, and chart of accounts, identifying best practices and managing changes.
- Support the onboarding of acquired companies and ensure adoption of group reporting and accounting standards.
- Support financial planning and analysis processes by preparing consolidated budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Assist with the management of group tax and compliance topics, especially relating to transfer pricing policies.
- Monitor and report on group liquidity and net working capital positions.
Your Profile
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; accounting qualification such as Swiss CPA, ACCA, or similar preferred.
- Solid experience with Swiss GAAP FER and/or IFRS.
- Experience with consolidation and planning tools; previous knowledge of Jedox and Diamant is a plus.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience as an auditor or in a similar function.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- High level of initiative, analytical thinking, and a strong team player.
