To strengthen our solid operations Visp, Switzerland, we are looking for a Deputy Shift Team Leader in chemical production.

Your tasks:

• ​Responsible for the onboarding and further development of employees
• Ensuring smooth shift operations and organizing all arising work orders as well as responsibility for shift handover
• In case of incidents, you ensure contact with external operational authorities (porter / on-call / fire brigade)
• Leading the team regarding tasks, priorities, breaks, and absences
• Ensuring the implementation of required work in the assigned work area under applicable regulations (safety, environmental protection, and quality)
• Questioning daily work in collaboration with the shift team employees and accordingly developing improvement proposals

Your profile:

• High commitment to strengthening the safety culture
• Residence in Upper Valais to ensure availability in case of disruptions
• Experience as a plant specialist in chemical production or service companies and in handling process control systems
• Preferably completed CPT or CPP apprenticeship (formerly certified operator) or willingness to start it
• You are interested and willing to learn new technologies and continuously further your education
• Committed, flexible, and reliable personality
• Motivation for shift work (including night shifts and weekends)
