At the IT department of Zürcher Kantonalbank, we develop the technology of tomorrow together with about 1,000 colleagues, right in the heart of Zurich.

In the Application Integration area, we ensure smooth communication between applications at ZKB. We need your active support to help shape our Event Streaming Platform! Our platform is responsible for the new backbone for asynchronous communication across the entire bank.

We are looking for a committed individual with solid knowledge in software development using Spring Boot and Kubernetes. Ideally, you already have experience with Kafka and are familiar with the event streaming world. It is important to us that you think analytically, act proactively, and like to look beyond the horizon.

Your tasks

Development and maintenance of integration solutions with Spring Boot
Further development of the event streaming platform based on Confluent Kafka
Onboarding and consulting DevOps teams regarding event streaming
Operation of the central Kafka platform

Your profile

Completed education in computer science (FH level) or equivalent professional experience
Several years of professional experience at a senior level in developing modern (web) applications
Experience with integration technologies and their implementation
Knowledge of cloud (Azure, Kubernetes, Helm) is an advantage
Knowledge in event streaming and especially Apache Kafka is an advantage
Quick comprehension and intrinsically motivated to learn new things
You are a team player with a high quality awareness and ready to take responsibility
Good command of German
