Fund Controller - Real Estate International

Your field of responsibility

 

The role is allocated in the Global Real Estate International Finance Department of Credit Suisse Asset Management. As Fund Controller, you will have an active role in the operational management of the direct real estate investments and associated special purpose vehicles. This includes responsibility for:


  • managing the periodic financial closing and reporting processes of one or several international real estate investment funds across the whole structure, from property level to consolidation

  • Interaction with internal and external stakeholders including Fund Managers, commercial product specialists, investment partners, auditors, local accounting, and tax providers and the board of the fund and special purpose vehicles

  • Financial performance monitoring of portfolio companies/ underlying special purpose vehicles in corporation with asset/ investment managers 

  • Pro-active support of the transaction team when executing acquisition and sales, this through financial analysis and support in on- and off boarding of investments 

  • Preparation of budgets/ forecasts for the fund and underlying special purpose vehicles

  • Cash management of the operational entities including monitoring FX positions and 

  • Participation in projects, review of workflows and processes, implementing improvements where needed

  • Pro-actively support team members and other colleagues across the business, self-start where needed

  • You will be the key person for many processes within the fund lifecycle within your responsibility.

Your skills and experience

 

You are a good match if you have:


  • strong financial background (MSc, CFA, CPA, CIIA or equivalent)

  • more than 5 -7 years of hands-on experience in an international environment; preferably with a BIG 4 company or a multinational company

  • solid accounting knowledge: international accounting standards (IFRS, INREV, others are seen as a benefit)

  • You feel confident in dealing with external counterparties

  • Confidence to work in a complex matrix organization

  • Structured approach to complex problems and ability to prioritize

  • Experience in working in a regulated environment

  • Ability to work independently and set own priorities, take ownership of assigned tasks and integrate well into a team

  • International real estate experience is regarded as a strong benefit

  • Fluent in English and preferable in German (both spoken and written), fluency in any other major language is a benefit

  • Strong IT skills (MS-Office suite; ERPs; Reporting software)
