To expand our team, we are looking for a distinguished personality as Department Head, 80 - 100%.

The focus of your activity is on course planning and organization, curriculum development, as well as the leadership and support of teachers. In addition, you responsibly take on the accompaniment and coaching of our learners during their studies and are willing to also take on a teaching assignment in your established subject area. You lead a team consisting of an administrative assistant, an intern, and an internship supervisor.

We expect from you

• Completed higher education (HF/FH/University) in the field of business, pedagogy, or a related discipline
• Several years of experience in vocational education, ideally in the commercial sector
• Additional pedagogical training (e.g., SVEB, AdA, teaching diploma) is a great advantage
• Strong leadership skills, communication strength, and decisiveness
• High service orientation, resilience, and enjoyment of structured work
• Interest in educational innovation and the further development of modern learning settings

Your tasks include

• Overall responsibility for the operational and strategic management of the commercial apprenticeship (KV EFZ) area
• Ensuring and further developing the quality of training according to the requirements of Kaufleute 2023 (KV Reform 2023)
• Leadership, coaching, and development of teachers and subject managers
• Planning, organization, and optimization of teaching operations
• Collaboration with training companies, learners, authorities, and partner institutions
• Quality and performance monitoring as well as initiating appropriate measures
