OVERVIEW:

 

The Analytical Development group is at interface between Discovery, Process Sciences, and Quality Control groups within Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, responsible for development of analytical methods and providing a range of analytical services. This is an existing position within Analytical Development team and reports directly to the Principal Scientist – Analytical Development.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine analytical work services offered by Analytical Development team.
  • Closely interact with Discovery (Antibody Engineering, Protein Expression), Process Sciences (USP, DSP, CLD, formulation), and Quality Control to identify their analytical needs and provide appropriate solution.
  • Interpret and report results of work carried out in written (primarily) and oral (as required) format.
  • Manage day-to-day laboratory activities (such as housekeeping, 5S/6S etc.).
  • Perform analytical method development and qualification/validation, troubleshooting, problem solving, protein variant characterization, and analytical method transfer work as required.
  • Perform other relevant duties as required.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CFC, BTS  or bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma with 1-2 year of relevant industry experience or masters in analytical, pharmaceutical, chemistry, or biochemistry
  • QC experience is a plus
  • Understanding of protein analytics (antibodies, biopharmaceuticals) using HPLC (SEC, IEX, HIC, RP) and capillary electrophoresis (CE, CZE, CE-SDS, icIEF) techniques
  • Excellent teamwork, organization, and communication skills required
  • Working proficiency in English, both verbal and written; French is a plus
