Substitute PhD Assistant in Cultural and Social Anthropology
Job Information
Start date: 1 September 2026
Contract duration: 6 months, no possibility of extension
Work rate: 60%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny
Salary: According to the salary scale for PhD assistant positions. The substitute will be hired in the 1st year.
Your Activities
- 50% of the work rate will be dedicated to conducting personal research work.
- 50% of the work rate will be devoted to supporting teaching and research tasks (teaching activities under the responsibility of a professor, activities related to the life of the affiliated unit).
Your Profile
We wish to hire a person with the following qualities:
- Master's degree in social sciences, or equivalent qualification,
- Good knowledge of cultural and social anthropology,
- Fluency in French with very good knowledge of English,
- Interest in working as part of a team and experience in ethnographic method,
- Strong interest in the anthropology of reproduction, medical anthropology, or gender anthropology.
