The Wyss Zurich is a joint accelerator of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, which was made possible by a generous donation from the Swiss entrepreneur and philanthropist Dr. h.c. mult. Hansjörg Wyss. The mission of Wyss Zurich is to drive the clinical translation and technology transfer of outstanding scientific discoveries into new therapies for patients and breakthrough innovations in the emerging fields of Regenerative Medicine and Robotics, and to promote hybrid technologies in these fields. Wyss Zurich brings together some of the world's leading experts to form multidisciplinary teams, pooling their knowledge and expertise.
MUS.I.C. is a BioTech start-up project currently incubated at Wyss Zurich. MUS.I.C. stands for "Multisystem Cell Therapy for Improvement of Urinary Continence" and is seeking to translate basic knowledge of Regenerative Medicine (RM) and stem cell therapy into clinical practice by undertaking a first-in-man study using autologous muscle precursor cells (MPCs), combined with neuromuscular electromagnetic stimulation (NMES), in 40 female patients. To complement our young and passionate team, we offer immediately or by arrangement a position as a
GMP Lab Technician (f/m, 50%)
We offer a personal and friendly environment: a dynamic team of six people, involved in a multi-national H2020 consortium, motivated together to defeat stress urinary incontinence. You will have the possibility to experience many aspects of a phase I clinical trial life cycle management and specifically: all details of the good manufacturing practice (GMP) process.
We are looking for an ambitious, highly dedicated and flexible GMP Lab Technician to support our team in the GMP-compliant cell production for our Phase I clinical trial. Your tasks would be to provide support the manufacturing team in the production process of muscle precursor cells from human muscle biopsies. You would be involved (among others) in aseptic cell production, analysis according to current GMP regulations, coordination of material supply, following and implementing strictly SOPs, WIs and other protocols. A highly precise mode of work is a must.
You are excited to work in a dynamic environment. You have experience as Biological lab technician or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology or a similar field (note: candidates holding a PhD degree cannot be considered). You are open and ready to work in GMP cleanroom class A/B (previous GMP experience desirable, but not compulsory: you will get a full education package). Strong experience in mammalian cell culture is mandatory. You enjoy working in a team (always 4-eye principle) and are a reliable, pro-active person with efficient working attitude. You are to some extend open to flexible working times. You are fluent in spoken and written English (and German) and other languages are a plus.
