Client:

Leading and long-established Swiss bank with a very strong presence across Switzerland as well as globally.  They offer bespoke private banking services to its HNW and UHNW clients as well as being strong on corporate banking and asset management.  One of the best Swiss banks in terms of recent expansion and excellent management of cost income ratio - a very stable bank with excellent reputation. Working very closely with their other Swiss offices as well as covering a global credit book for monitoring and reporting in this role, as part of a close-knit, experienced team in Basel, Geneva and Zurich.    In addition, they offer a friendly and dynamic place to work, in a human-sized organisation with good visability and career prospects. A meritocratic environment for a seasoned, flexible and open-minded specialist used to a medium-sized structure, comfortable in a broad credit monitoring private banking role doing all the work from A-Z.

Credit Monitoring Specialist - Basel

Position:

Coming in as VP, as part of a busy team, your role will include the following elements, but not limited to: 
  • Monitoring Credit exposure as well as Single Stock structures and assure periodic reporting to Global Head of Credit
  • Monthly consolidation of Credit risk exposures for the entire Group 
  • Margin Calls management
  • Reporting development - Implementation of new Monitoring and Credit risk models, support in continuous development of reporting processes
  • Maintaining and developing the Credit Framework and the derivatives margin procedures

Profile:
  • University degree in the area in finance or equivalent level of education
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in banking risk / credit position in banking industry 
  • Swiss or international experience (from a major financial centre)
  • Strong reporting (IT) and analytical skills
  • Stress resistant and commitment to deadlines
  • Self-sufficient, autonomous, dynamic team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications – mainly Excel
  • Very good command of English
  • Capability to be flexible and agile
  • Already based near Basel, Switzerland or committed to moving to this lovely part of the world 
  • EU/EEA or Swiss nationals only due to Swiss work permit regulations
