Our global R&D Power Electronics competence center in Turgi, Switzerland, currently has an opening for an Embedded Software Engineer for power converters. In this role, you will contribute to software development relating to medium voltage AC motor drives and/or grid-connected converters used in various applications.   • Work within a project team responsible for the full range of activities associated with the development of software used in AC motor drives and/or grid-connected converters
  • Design embedded real-time software running on DSP, CPU, and/or FPGA C
  • ontribute to software testing to ensure defined quality standards are met
  • Provide professional technical support for internal customers (level 4, commissioning)


  • Degree (bachelor, master or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Ideally sound relevant industry experience
  • Experience with C++ programming and object-oriented design
  • Practical knowledge in embedded application design and implementation
  • Expertise in motor control, grid control, controller design and power electronics is desirable
  • Ideally familiar with Python, Git, Jenkins and Klocwork
  • Experience in the simulation of power electronics control system with Matlab and/or Simulink of advantage
  • Know-how in programming VHDL for FPGA designs and using hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments for verification is considered a plus
  • Excellent command of English, knowledge of German is an asset
  • Willingness to work in close collaboration with other team members (pair programming)
