The Center for Psychotherapy (led by Prof. Dr. Jens Gaab, Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Faculty of Psychology, University of Basel) offers psychotherapy and counseling for mental disorders as well as psychotherapeutic co-treatment for medical diseases and physical complaints for all age groups. The services of the Center for Psychotherapy are accessible to everyone, always tailored to the individual case, and based on scientific findings and practical experience in clinical psychology and psychotherapy as well as associated relevant disciplines. Since 2018, various postgraduate trainings have been conducted under the sponsorship of the Faculty of Psychology within the Advanced Studies in Psychology. These currently include the MAS Humanistic Psychotherapy and CAS Motivational Interviewing programs.
For the operational-administrative management of these two units, we are looking for a person who will take on the following tasks in both units:
Your tasks
Center for Psychotherapy- You take over the management of the administration of the Center for Psychotherapy and ensure smooth administrative processes.
- You plan and budget the financial resources of the center in close cooperation with the management.
- You support the management committee in business management issues and contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements.
- You are responsible for financial administration in the SAP system including invoicing, salary and expense payments, as well as controlling all payment transactions.
- You maintain client administration and communication as well as professional and service-oriented exchange with health insurance companies.
- You continuously analyze and optimize operational processes to further increase efficiency and quality through automation.
Advanced Studies in Psychology
- You manage the administration of the further education programs (CAS MI and MAS HPT) and ensure smooth organizational processes.
- You plan and monitor budgets for the further education programs and carry out financial processing including fee and expense management in the SAP system.
- You support program directors and committees in business management matters and prepare annual accounts.
- You are responsible for administration and communication with participants as well as coordinating room planning in coordination with university departments.
- You coordinate cooperation between Advanced Studies in Psychology and the Continuing Education Services.
Your profile
- Completed commercial basic training or equivalent education
- Further training in business management or administrative field
- Several years of professional experience in administration and financial management (ideally in higher education)
- Sound knowledge of financial processes and accounting
- Very good IT skills, especially experience with SAP
- Strong social skills and communication abilities
- Organized, independent, and reliable working style
- Solution-oriented approach
