Chief Resident in Radiation Oncology
We are looking for a chief resident for our Radiation Oncology Service of the Oncology Department with an activity rate between 80% - 100%.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Our UNIL-CHUV Oncology Department brings together cancer clinic and research with an innovative spirit. It includes the medical oncology, immuno-oncology, radiation oncology, and hematology services. It also integrates the Lausanne branch of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (LICR) for cancer research, particularly in the field of immunotherapy.
Led by Professor Fernanda Herrera, the Radiation Oncology Service has about forty collaborators. Radiotherapy research at CHUV aims to integrate the latest technological and biological advances to offer more personalized, less invasive, and more effective treatments to cancer patients. The focus is on innovation, reducing side effects, and improving patients' quality of life.
This research relies on an experimental radiotherapy platform that allows all types of irradiation, linked with imaging, and on experimental models of tumors and healthy tissues, to develop the transfer from laboratory to clinic.
