The Waldheim Foundation offers people with intellectual, physical, and psychological disabilities a variety of residential and day-structure places in six residential homes. More than 340 employees are committed to the high quality of life of around 220 residents.
As of July 1, 2026, or by arrangement, we are looking for a caretaker for the Schönenbüel residential home in Teufen:

What to expect:
- Ensuring the proper maintenance of the building, surroundings, equipment and machines, as well as furniture and vehicles
- Monitoring, maintenance, and repair of building services systems
- Planning and execution of small renovation and refurbishment works
- Various administrative tasks (purchasing, inventory management, budget responsibility, etc.)
- Collaboration with internal (residential groups, studio, housekeeping, administration, caretakers of other locations) and external parties (craftsmen, suppliers, etc.)
What we expect:
- Completed training as a caretaker with a federal certificate of competence or many years of experience in the caretaker role
- Administrative and organizational skills as well as good IT knowledge
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- Helpful, considerate interaction with residents
- Driver's license category B
- Independence, a high degree of flexibility for special deployments (e.g., on-call snow removal) and willingness to work weekends/holidays
- Teamwork skills, sense of responsibility, and humor
