Computer Scientist 50 - 80%The Kantonsschule Zürcher Oberland (KZO) in Wetzikon currently operates 59 classes including a lower secondary level (9th/10th school year) and all Zurich Matura profiles. With around 1300 students, 200 teachers, and 40 staff members in administration and operations, KZO is one of the large high schools in the canton.
To complement our IT team, we are looking for a computer scientist (50-80%) starting March 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your tasks
As a computer scientist, you are responsible for professional and efficient 1st and 2nd level support of devices and software (including BYOD). You perform installations and configurations of clients and peripheral devices and are responsible for server maintenance and backups. You actively support the management of the school administration software. Additionally, you record and resolve hardware and software issues. You help provide modern and innovative forms of teaching and learning with digital tools at our school. Furthermore, you participate in projects.
Your profile
We expect a completed education as a computer scientist EFZ, ICT specialist EFZ, or a comparable qualification with several years of professional experience.
You are proactive and open, enthusiastic about new software solutions, and interested in innovative technologies in the school context. You also have experience with server infrastructures, cloud services, and possess operating system knowledge in both Apple and Windows environments. You are flexible, think and act service-oriented, enjoy working in a team, and like interacting with young people and teachers. Communication skills, problem-solving orientation, and reliability complete your profile.
