Your tasks
- Ensuring a safe, punctual, and reliable operation on line 19
- Active participation in the depot's daily operations (hands-on role in maintenance)
- Overall responsibility for the maintenance and high availability of rail vehicles
- Technical and personnel management of employees at the Waldenburg depot
- Planning and controlling personnel, vehicle, and resource deployment
- Preparation of annual, medium- and short-term maintenance planning
- Budgeting and cost responsibility for depot operations
- Planning vehicle availability in close coordination with operations
- Ensuring proper maintenance, repair, cleaning, as well as commissioning and recommissioning of vehicles
- Monitoring compliance with maintenance plans, quality standards, and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with all EKAS, safety, and health regulations
- Analysis of operational key figures and continuous optimization of maintenance processes
- Use and further development of maintenance software (e.g., ZEDAS)
- Coordination of deployment and absence planning as well as working time control
- Ensuring rapid fault clearance and operational support on site for technical or operational challenges
- Responsibility for material and spare parts supply in the depot
- Coordination of the repair of collision and vandalism damage including third-party services
- Participation in recruitment and development of employees
- Coordination of depot infrastructure maintenance with internal departments
- Leadership and participation in technical and cross-departmental projects
- On-call duty and occasional assignments as train driver when needed
Your profile
- Completed technical basic training, ideally with further education in maintenance or management
- Several years of professional experience in maintenance, preferably in the railway or transport sector
- Enjoyment and willingness to actively participate in daily operations and take responsibility on site
- Experience in leading employees and teams
- Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills
- High sense of responsibility, safety, and quality awareness
- Experience with maintenance software and technical documentation
- Business understanding and experience in budget and cost responsibility
- Analytical and structured working style
- Assertiveness combined with a cooperative leadership style
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- High initiative and solution orientation
- Willingness to take on on-call duty and irregular assignments
- Resilience and decision-making ability even in disruption situations
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form
- Good English skills in spoken and written form for collaboration with external partners and suppliers
