SUMMARY

Seeking a professional Optics Engineer proficient with image sensors and lasers to drive the design and characterization of the next generation of 3D imagers for mobile vision applications in robotics and automotive. Successful applicants will be part of a skilled and dynamic team, and will contribute to the definition of a new generation of 3D imaging solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Define and maintain optical design specifications starting from internal requirements. Specify and develop custom optics for flash LiDAR imagers. Design and realize prototypes using off-the-shelf optical components. Characterize and measure optical designs. Execute technical feasibility studies. Analyze and present data. Interface to the IC design team and to the hardware design team to guarantee smooth interoperability of ICs
and systems. Write and maintain technical documentation for internal and external use. Provide technical support to the hardware team. Support the realization of demonstrators and development kits.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

PhD or Master Degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Microtechnology, or Photonics.
2+ years of experience as Optics Engineer.
Significant experience in a related field (3D vision, robotics, photonics, or industrial electronics) is a plus.
Experience working with lasers.
Familiarity with eye safety constraints and regulations.
