What you will do 
Product Support at Tecan Switzerland is responsible for global technical services for liquid handling automation in the Tecan Service and After Sales group. Product Support provides assistance to local and regional service staff in the Tecan affiliates, its external distributors and OEM customers. In this very versatile position, you join a team responsible to provide support, training, and documentation to regional centers and to our affiliates worldwide. 

Responsibilities will include 

  • Provide and coordinate 2nd level and 3rd level hardware support for regional service professionals in order to minimize system down times at customer sites, by delivering fast workaround or a permanent solution
  • Provide on-site hardware support for local and regional service activities to ensure success in first installations, repairs, and updates
  • Contribute to the knowledge transfer from R&D to the team as well as regional service and support representatives 
  • Write, maintain, review, and publish service-related documentation and other support documents 
  • Active member of Product Care Team: monitor product quality and make sure that product care teams initiate continuous product improvements
  • Conduct product and hardware service training for service professionals including global Tecan staff, regional distributors, and OEM customers
  • Create, review, and maintain hardware service training content and methodology
  • Administrative tasks in SAP


What you bring along 

  • Academic education in engineering, sciences, or related field 
  • Work experience in the area of either medical devices or automation technology in either product support, field service or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including a customer focused approach, highly effective teamwork, and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical skills required to resolve issues
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable manner
  • Affinity with computerized systems and remote support technology 
  • Experience in giving technical training
  • SAP knowledge would be beneficial 
  • Fluent English, German would be a plus 
  • Willingness to travel up to 10-20% of the working time
