Global Brand Communications Manager

Job description:

What will you do 
The Brand Manager is an important global role in the Johnson Controls' global brand function. The role will report to the Senior Brand Manager and support a centralized, global Brand team in executing Johnson Controls' brand goals. The Manager will drive to global branding projects in areas such as brand performance, evaluation, benchmarking, planning, integration and activation. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in brand strategy and brand management, data & analytical skills, is an effective communicator, a superb project manager and capable of working in a large matrix organization, engaging at all levels of the organization and with multiple functions within the company. 

How you will do it
* Deliver brand benchmark and analysis for JCI's global brand performance and tracking, conduct ongoing competitive analysis and drive recommendations that enable brand strategies
* Deliver actionable plans that facilitate JCI to lead, differentiate and close gaps 
* Drive the development of global brand toolkits, including articulation and activation i.e. JCI brand narratives (brand communications and strategies), value propositions and value messaging
* Advance programs and activities to increase global brand engagement externally and internally
* Cultivate and enrich the global branding community providing premium brand advisory and consulting
* Track and ensure alignment of brand execution with global brand strategy to build and protect the brand
* Integrate the brand strategy within new acquisitions and joint ventures 
* Drive awareness and familiarity of the Johnson Controls OpenBlue brand 
* Develop and implement clear channel partner brand strategies to amplify and strengthen JCI's position
* Enhance and optimize existing processes and propose new ones for increasing productivity, collaboration, and efficiency

Required profile:

What we look for

* Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications. 
* From 8 years of experience in marketing and communications and specific experience within Brand Strategy in a global organization
* Demonstrated track record in strong leadership 
* Strong focus on winning in a fast-changing industry and marketplace 
* Strong sense of curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit in actively looking for opportunities 
* Excellent communication skills, written and spoken English language skill is essential to this position
* Strong writing, analytical, project management and organizational skills
* Thrives in fast paced international environment and has a strong sense of urgency
* Works independently and is a self-starter
* Agile and can quickly adapt to change
* Positive can-do attitude
