Senior Graphic Designer (temporary until 31.12.2023)

The Graphic Designer sits within our Design team in Zurich and reports directly to the Head of Design. As a design expert, illustrator and creative thinker, the Graphic Designer understands our business and proposes creative solutions to our client’s needs.

Your opportunity

  • Planning concepts based on client briefs and requirements
  • Consulting, visualization, and implementation of various online and offline marketing material, such as advertisements, publications, event elements, and social media visuals.
  • Illustrating concepts
  • Development of info-graphics to visually explain complex concepts
  • Creation of wire-frames and mock ups
  • Ensuring the typographical rules are correctly implemented in all outputs
  • Development and implementation of creative ideas
  • Responsibility for image search and processing
  • Timely preparation and delivery of all projects in compliance with corporate design guidelines
  • Stay up to date with new digital technologies and design best practices
  • Responsible for aligning all creative design with our brand guidelines
  • And last but not least: Take ownership and bring opportunities/ ideas to life. Be Vontobel!

You bring

  • University degree or equivalent qualification in graphic design, polygraph or similar
  • Proficiency in dealing with the most common design tools - Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.) and the common Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A strong eye for visual composition
  • Very good knowledge of prepress and print production
  • High affinity for branding, trademarks, design themes and digital media
  • Sound knowledge of web technologies, HTML, CSS and Java Script are a plus
  • Good knowledge in 2D animation
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German
