About the job
Based on the results of scientifically grounded and practically established employee satisfaction surveys (MAZU), the Swiss Employer Award annually honors the best employers as part of Switzerland's largest benchmarking initiative. After the 2020 survey, which led to 9th place, Nidwaldner Kantonalbank participated again this year and secured a top 10 position once more in the category "Companies with 100 to 249 employees." Among the total of 58 participating companies, NKB achieved 10th place in the current evaluation.
On a scale from 1 to 10, NKB again achieved very good scores in the particularly relevant areas of "Recommendation of the employer" (9.2), "Commitment" (8.4), and "Attractive employer" (8.1). "That we could confirm the very pleasing result from 2020 and that our employees are so satisfied makes us very proud," says Heinrich Leuthard, Chairman of the Executive Board of NKB, adding: "We will continue to invest heavily in our staff so that NKB will also be perceived as an attractive and future-oriented employer in the future."
The benchmarking study Swiss Employer Award has been a pioneering tool for Swiss companies since 2000. From SMEs to large enterprises, around 120 organizations participate in the study annually. The tool allows companies on the one hand to measure themselves against the best employers in their industry. On the other hand, it enables them to gain valuable insights for the development of their company as well as for personnel marketing. The Swiss Employers' Association and HR Swiss have been long-standing partners of the Swiss Employer Award. The conception and implementation are the responsibility of icommit GmbH in Küsnacht ZH. www.swissarbeitgeberaward.ch
Highest possible award in pay equity analysis
Additionally, NKB is pleased to have achieved the highest possible award in the pay equity analysis and to have been issued the certificate "Fair-on-Pay-Advanced." The Fair ON Pay Association states: "Based on a statistical analysis, the gender-specific pay gap is below the tolerance threshold of 2.5 percent. On this basis, the quality auditor SGS issued the Fair ON Pay Advanced certificate, which distinguishes Nidwaldner Kantonalbank as a fair employer and underlines its sustainable commitment to pay equity."
