Lower School Bilingual Pathway German speaking Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher - Tentative from August 2024

ZIS Bilingual Pathway

ZIS launched a Bilingual Pathway in August 2021.This Pathway is growing every year and will extend up to Grade 9 in the coming years.

This is offered as an alternative pathway to our core International Pathway. The German speaking homeroom teacher will be part of our extended international Early Childhood teaching team. Play is at the heart of our Early Childhood approach, allowing children to discover the world around them and supporting the development of the whole child. Through play, children develop an essential set of skills and dispositions, including language acquisition and self-regulation. Children are inspired by their own ideas and innovations and are nourished as creative thinkers. They begin to develop as readers, writers and mathematicians, and a sense of wonder is fostered as they grow socially, emotionally and academically. Play sparks joy, imagination and curiosity; allowing children at their varying stages of readiness to connect ideas and learn.

We are now seeking an additional experienced German speaking Kindergarten homeroom teacher who is excited by the challenge and benefits of working in an international environment. The position includes planning time, ongoing professional development and international networking opportunities. The arts and physical education will be taught by subject specialists. Extensive student support services are available to support the needs of all students, and a full time Assistant Teacher will be working in partnership with the homeroom teacher.
