Interior Designer I Architect

To team up with our in-house EF Architecture Team in Zürich we are seeking an experienced Architect or Interior Designer.

What you bring with you:


  • Completed studies in interior design or architecture (BA, MA or FH)

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in design and planning

  • Knowledge of interior design principles, space planing, furniture selection and material specifications

  • Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills (level C1)

  • Proficiency in planning and modelling in ArchiCAD

  • Strong 3D modelling skills (Cinema4D or SketchUp)

  • Master of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Experience working in an Apple environment

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts to stakeholders and team members

  • Attention to details. Strong emphasis on design quality and a genuine passion for creating innovative design solutions

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment

  • Structured, proactive, independent and responsible working style

  • Positive attitude

  • The right to work in Switzerland

Responsibilities:


  • Co-designing and planning international projects, such as: innovative sales offices, inspiring education spaces and various pop-up’s

  • Analysing spatial requirements and developing efficient and functional floor plans. Maximising the use of available space

  • Creating 3D models to effectively convey the intended design concept

  • Participating in research and selection of appropriate materials, finishes, fittings, furniture and colour schemes align with the project’s design concept and meeting the functional and aesthetic goals considering factors such as durability, sustainability and maintenance requirements

  • Providing samples for approval

  • Collaborating with consultants, furniture dealers, product representatives to meet overall project objectives that enhance the ambience and functionality of interior spaces

  • Effectively communicating design ideas and solutions with stakeholders and team members

  • Preparing visually compelling presentations, including mood boards, concept sketches and 3D visualisations

  • Collaborating with the project team to develop and analyse project budgets. Evaluating the feasibility of design concepts in relation to budget constraints. Monitoring project expenses and track costs against the approved budget throughout all project phases

  • Providing support to local teams during the construction phase including responding to requests, and reviewing plans

  • Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in educational and office design

  • Supporting the team in projects of different typologies, sizes and complexities
