Laboratory Technician (Lab Management and Production)

Schedule: May 2023 or another mutually agreed date (80-100%)
Holidays: 25 paid days off
Location: Kemptthal, Switzerland

 

As Haelixa’s Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Swiss team based in Kemptthal, working in close cooperation with our internal R&D and operations teams. You will be responsible for the DNA marker characterization, executing experimental work and laboratory maintenance.

 

Your responsibilities:
• Laboratory management, including lab organisation, consumables tracking and ordering
• Maintenance of operational documentation: standard operating procedures, general protocols, internal data management
• Managing laboratory equipment maintenance and sourcing
• Executing routine lab work (DNA marker production, qPCR analysis) and quality control
• Executing defined lab-based experiments to support technical R&D projects
• Learning, growing and having fun!
Your profile:
• A qualification (EFZ, HFP, BSc) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field or a combination of education and experience
• Swiss/EU/EFTA work permit
• Experience in working in a laboratory (chemistry/biology)
• Able to execute lab work precisely and accurately
• Strong and self-directing organisational capabilities
• Sense of accountability
• Ability to communicate in English
• Comfortable with working independently
• Strong team player attributes
• Flexibility and energy to work in a high-speed and high-intensity environment
