Candidate profile

• You hold a Master Degree’s in communication and has a  professional background in the field


• You have 5 to 10 years of experience in communication, with a proven track record of communication plans, creating and implementing internal communication strategies.


• You are solution and results orientated with a curious and inquisitive nature.


• Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to drive change and champion projects affecting the entire internal audience. Knowledge of editorial and events management is required.


• Good organisational and administrative skills


• Excellent verbal and written communication with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail


• Perfect command of oral and written English, ability to speak and write French useful, but not essential


• Sound digital communication skills preferred

Your mission:

By design, the internal communication specialist contributes to the department objectives:

• Connect people and teams and animate trading and local communities (both T&S and TGP);


• Circulate business and people news (including Company’s news) within the division but also within the various BUs and offices


• Enhance the awareness of trading and shipping activities within the Company

The internal communication specialist is a member of the trading internal communication team based in Geneva, in charge of communication for the trading entities of the Company, He/she will work closely with the other members of the team (contents producer, event coordinator, internal communication officer), to maximize the quality and the efficiency of the communication actions.

The internal communication specialist will act as a proactive communication project leader and will be responsible for executing and overseeing communication actions.

As a specific focus, the internal communication specialist will contribute to the communication structuration of the Gas and Power trading activities under the supervision of the Manager, internal Communication.

In accordance with the internal communication strategy defined for the Trading Gas & Power (TGP) entity , the internal communication specialist is particularly, but not only, in charge of deploying the internal communication action plan for TGP employees in Geneva, Paris, Madrid Houston and Singapore:

• promote both Company and TGP’s  strategies, their objectives, values and results.


• promote and develop, with the Manager, Internal Communication, the Trading culture and values within the Company.


• help coordinating communication actions in all offices worldwide and animating the network of internal communication correspondents.

The internal communication specialist also contributes actively to the communication actions plan as defined by the Manager, Internal Communication with the Switzerland Country Chair.

The Purpose:

The role of Internal Communication Specialist will have an impact on all employees and will play a pivotal role within the organisation:

• To ensure that all employees receive, understand and implement the key messages and commit to the strategy;


• Disseminate information to all employees at all levels on a diverse range of subjects;


• Contribute to the development of the Trading internal communication strategy including the implementation of communications to support critical campaigns covering safety, cost culture and Total Values.

What you will do:

Day-to-day activities and follow-up include:

• Content management, in relation with the Content producer:
  
  
  
  • Conceive, elaborate and produce information content (articles, videos, data vizualisation) about business topics (Company and TGP) and people news,
  
  
  • Identify and propose subjects about TGP business to be communicated (about market trends, new business, ...)
  
  
  • Manage the day-to-day animation of the dedicated Intranet,
  
  
  • Publish information on relevant channels (Yammer, dedicated Sharepoint, ...)
  
  


• Event organisation, in accordance with the Event Coordinator :
  
  
  
  • Contribute to the organisation of events (eg Townhalls) in all offices,
  
  
  • Plan and organize dedicated events to introduce/explain TGP Strategy and its results,
  
  
  • Actively participate in Corporate communication campaigns and support local volunteering program (Action!).
  
  


• Specific Communication projects
  
  
  
  • assisting other departments (HR, IT, Legal, ...) in defining and implementing their communication strategy, and their specific communication projects such as events, brochures, e-mailings, ...
  
  

In order to act as a strong project manager, the internal communication specialist will have to :

• Acquire and develop a strong expertise in trading culture to be able to contribute to the promotion of trading activities.


• Develop, build and maintain strong working partnerships with both management and employees to identify and devise communication actions.


• Support the TGP management in understanding employees’ expectations in terms of communication and define with the Manager, Internal Communication and the TGP SVP the relevant communication action
