Responsibilities

The Head Group Insurance and Risk Financing developes and implements cost effective solutions to protect the Group from risks outside its risk appetite. You will lead a team of dedicated Insurance and Captive Managers that provides risk management and insurance advice to senior management and operating countries.


  • Ensures efficient Group insurance programs for selected group-wide insured risks ranging from property & casualty to D&O, financial lines and specific operational risks

  • Leads the Group Insurance team at corporate level, engages actively with senior managers across the Group and promotes risk management and control to minimize total costs of risk

  • Facilitates an effective linkage between Group insurance specialists and Countries, supporting the business’ insurance needs

  • Oversees the management of major losses, claims analysis and identifies trends

  • Develops and maintains the relationships with the Group insures, brokers, loss adjusters and insurance service providers

  • Cooperates closely with other functions for effective risk prevention and efficient risk financing solutions

  • Develops the Group insurance team towards continuous high performance, fostering talent development and job enrichment

 

Education/Qualifications


  • Degree in insurance, legal or related fields

  • Alternatively, insurance apprenticeship with further insurance qualification

Experience


  • 5 year experience with global insurance programs in an industrial setting at an insurer, broker or multinational corporates

  • 3 years leadership experience driving performance and delivering value-adding projects

  • Proven experience in engaging with senior management delivering key messages in a concise and clear way

  • Experience with liability claims would be an advantage

Knowledge & Skills

  • Self starter with the ability to work independently

  • Strong communicator able to promote the team objectives with clear impact and influence

  • Strong analytical skills and the capacity to prioritize with a good sense for urgency

Language Requirements

Excellent written and spoken English is required. French or German would be an advantage
