THE OPPORTUNITY

(Senior) Manager, Proteomics Software & Kits Marketing, 100%

Proteomics is an increasingly established and widely applicable technology to gain biological insights. The addressable market is large and ranges from software and kits for inhouse proteomics to outsourced contract research services and data solutions for pharma and diagnostics R&D. As Manager / Senior Manager Proteomics Software & Kits Marketing, you will report to the Head of Marketing & Communications and reinforce the existing marketing team. You will have a broad scope of responsibilities aimed at increasing global awareness, adoption, and sales of Biognosys’ mass spectrometry proteomics software and kits. You will be instrumental in realizing strong commercial growth, amongst others for our flagship software Spectronaut for DIA data analysis and our PQ500 reference peptides kit for plasma proteomics. To be successful in the role, you will bring or develop in-depth technical, scientific, and commercial expertise on our offerings, and will act as cross-functional liaison between the Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and R&D teams. You will also bring or develop strong relationships within the mass spectrometry proteomics research community across industry, core facilities and academia. Within the marketing team, you will work closely together with colleagues specializing toward Omnichannel Marketing to ensure impactful branding, design, customer experience and engagement for all activities. You will also work together with your Product Marketing counterpart for our CRO services on integrated or synergistic activities. You are joining us at an exciting time, as we develop synergies with our strategic partner, Bruker, and are planning for exciting launches, conferences and events. This position can be based in Switzerland (Zürich) or US (remote, East Coast preferred), depending on the residence and work authorization documents of the final candidate.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing subject matter expertise and gather market insights on Biognosys’ software and kits solutions and the broader proteomics field 
  • Developing marketing plans and driving cross-functional alignment for launches & campaigns 
  • Developing the product positioning, messaging, and content for website and marketing collaterals 
  • Defining the objectives, audiences, messaging, content, and channels as well as writing the copy for omnichannel marketing activities and campaigns (website, email marketing, social media, 3rd party media); supporting keyword analysis for website SEO and SEM 
  • Maintaining relationships and implementing content and campaign projects with scientific communications agencies and life science media publishers 
  • Maintaining the schedule of conferences and events; coordinating poster sessions, seminars, and talks with internal Biognosys and Bruker stakeholders, external collaborators, and conference organizers; managing the promotion of product content at and surrounding conferences 
  • Supporting sales enablement activities, e.g. developing training material and sales presentations 
  • Gathering marketing analytics and sales insights to continuously optimize campaigns and improve the marketing-to-sales funnel and opportunities pipeline 
  • Managing the budget for the assigned projects and activities

YOUR PROFILE

  • A master’s degree in a life sciences field relevant to our proteomics software and kits, e.g. biology, biochemistry, or bioinformatics is required 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a relevant life sciences industry (research tools, CRO, biopharma, diagnostics,…) is required 
  • Good understanding of life sciences R&D functions and processes, from discovery to clinical settings is required 
  • Experience in an Omics field (proteomics, genomics,…) and/or relevant therapeutic areas for proteomics (oncology, neuroscience, targeted protein degradation,…) is preferred 
  • Significant experience in driving strategic marketing workstreams, such as market and competitor analysis and development of product positioning, segmentation, messaging, and marketing plans 
  • Significant experience with marketing content and collateral development, advanced scientific writing skills, and excellent knowledge of written and spoken English 
  • Experience with the coordination of poster sessions, seminars, and product demos at scientific conferences, and the organization of user meetings and customer events 
  • Familiarity with B2B & Omnichannel Marketing practices and tools 
  • Strategic and analytical mindset and ability to develop comprehensive solutions for complex challenges 
  • Strong communicator with excellent cross-functional collaboration skills 
  • Independent working style, with high dedication to quality and results 
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel 
  • Openness and flexibility to adapt in a rapidly evolving environment 
  • Ability to travel internationally or interstate (for the US-based candidates) up to 15% of the time 
  • Legal authorization to work in Switzerland or the US
