We are looking for a remarkable Process & Project Engineer to join DSM.

Location: Kaiseraugst, Switzerland

The Challenge:

Are you a process or chemical engineer with a passion for designing, implementing an optimizing chemical and biotechnical process plants? Do you enjoy working with cross-functional and multicultural project teams? Then our position as Process & Project Engineer (f/m) might be the right next step for you. Based in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland, you will be part of the global Large Capex Project team which is responsible for the definition and execution of investment projects according to our customer needs.

The Position:

  • Manage and oversee optimization, engineering design and implementation of production plants
  • Ensure state-of-the art practices of scale-up and engineering
  • Utilizing your project management know-how in large Capex projects
  • Ensure the application of safety standards
  • Support project teams towards a risk-based approach when implementing new or advanced process technology
  • Participate in a variety of global and regional projects

The Ideal:

  • Master’s Degree in Process- or Chemical Engineering or comparable educational level
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in the chemical industry or fermentation technology/downstream processing
  • Experience in engineering design and scale-up
  • Skills in project management
  • Knowledge about process control and automation
  • General knowledge of current regulations (e.g. ATEX, PED, GMP)
  • Understanding of financials and accounting requirements in projects
  • Ability to motivate yourself and prioritize
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written) in English and German
  • Flexibility for some travel
