Project Quality Engineer (Product Release)

The Project Quality Engineer will be the first point of contact to our customers globally, utilizing excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in a truly international and multicultural working environment.

The main purpose of the role will be to manage the introduction and monitoring of quality planning in design, engineering, and project management (JE-PDS: Johnson Electric Product Development System).

Your responsibilities will be to:


  • Translate customer specific requirements into JE characteristics


  • Handle design and process issues from a quality perspective, solving problems innovatively and proactively


  • Prepare regular APQP & PPAP documentation


  • Identify the Critical product characteristics for product performance and reliability along with their management via control of specific process characteristics


  • Undertake the moderation; administration and training role within FMEA


  • Undertake the design and process related cycle of learning while implementing plans and actions


  • Define project quality requirements for product level, components, intercompany subsystems, and purchase parts


  • Ensure project quality tasks in JE-PDS and its Milestones reviews


  • Undertake process audits as required


  • Undertake the monitoring and correct implementation of the Control Plan


  • Ensure the safe launch plan at the JE manufacturing side


Requirements:


  • University degree of professional qualification in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related


  • Professional experience of ideally more than 3 years in similar positions in a modern manufacturing environment – preferably automotive industry (product development specialization is preferred)


  • Engineering background coupled with in-depth knowledge of electronic and mechanical device manufacturing processes and associated quality methodology


  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, ASPICE, 8D, MSA, Cpk study, gained through relevant working experience


  • Knowledge of relevant standard and customer specific documentation. (e.g.ISO TS 16949, VDA, AIAG, etc.)


  • Excellent customer relationship management skills


  • Capable of dealing with pressure and adversity and able to voice his/her opinion


  • Experience in undertaking process audits


  • Proficient English language skills - both written and verbal (knowledge of French or German is highly desirable)


  • Willingness to travel to our European Sites (10 to 20 percent of working hours)


  • You are flexible, rigorous, reliable, precise, autonomous, and problem solver


  • Self-starter, able to work without close supervision successfully and comfortably on assigned projects
