Research Assistant /Associate (Biology) – (100%, m/f/d)

Job Description

Provide technical support to pre-clinical research currently ongoing at NBE-Therapeutics. You will be involved in the screening and characterization of monoclonal antibodies and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) for pre-clinical evaluation in relevant in vitro models. We are looking for a motivated, fast learner and self-dependent team player, who likes to work in a dynamic environment where everyone’s performance has an impact and who likes to be part of the team supporting the company’s further growth.

Your Profile


  • Laboratory Technician/Bachelor with several years of laboratory experience or Master in Biochemistry, Biology or related discipline, preferably with previous work experience in pharma/biotech. Applications from candidates with a PhD degree will not be considered for this position

  • Understanding of the basis of molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology methods

  • Flexible person and keen to learn new skills and techniques

  • Extraordinary attention to detail and systematic working style is desired

  • Ability to plan and execute high quality experimental work in a team or independently

  • A team player having a positive attitude towards the company and the team, open-minded for feedback culture

  • Solid knowledge in English is required; German is helpful but not essential

  • Residence in Basel or surrounding is desirable

Your Tasks and Responsibilities


  • Routine handling of mammalian cell culture

  • Execute cellular assays to test activity of ADCs

  • Perform analytical assays (Western blot, ELISA, FACS)

  • Characterize antibodies and perform quality control experiments

  • Conduct standard molecular biology experiments (Cloning, PCR etc.)

  • Learn, develop and optimize novel assays and technologies

  • Independently plan and execute experiments, and accurately document work in electronic lab journals

  • Pro-actively contribute to lab organization and maintenance, ensuring optimal workflow
