• Proven advanced training/education and work experience in strategic communications or equivalent.
• Profund experience in both external (incl. Social Media) and internal communication.
• Know how in managing and leveraging (local) media contacts.
• Strong documented leadership skills.
• Experience in working with strategic communication and/or business leadership + agencies management and crisis communication.
• Knowledge of the IKEA brand, culture, values and way of working
• Strong communication skills in English and German (both written and spoken).

Your responsibilities

• Enabling Ingka to promote and protect the IKEA brand through effective media and influencers relationships in close cooperation with other relevant functions.
• Driving reactive, proactive and activist communication externally through media & strategic influencers relationships.
• Overall responsible to create the country product and corporate PR/media relations strategy (focus on earned and owned media): create media/stakeholder engagement strategies for effective reactive, proactive and activist communication.
• Developing and implementing process for country on-duty phone and product loans.
• Effectively and proactively driving and elevating the brand awareness of the company among public through effective and targeted media use – co-leading events, all brand activation initiatives with other functions.
• Staying up-to-date on current affairs in order to create opportunities to position our stories in a way that resonates with the outside world.

We bounce ideas back and forth, we challenge each other and we are crazy passionate about communication.
